  1. I was thinking that but he is an integral part of the attack.
  2. SL said he wasn’t 100%, not quite there.
  3. I was thinking this also. I enjoy watching the games back too. Maybe they will still upload them them but with a day 10 day delay. It will be interesting to see if they still upload the away games. There could also be an element of stopping the opposition seeing out moves etc.
  4. That is hardly a punishment with no relegation?
  5. I guess he has gone down the pecking order of props?
  6. The documentary that is coming out is almost 4 hours long. It will be available via Apple I think. The bits I have seen and heard so far ( other than what’s been Facebook) are excellent.
  7. I am just going through the 70’s for another project and some of the crowds were dire. On this day in 1972 we played Doncaster at Watersheddings and on the back of a 33-0 away victory just 1214 came through the door. Oldham actually won 44-5. Hope you two get on the better side and get to a match or two.
  8. Apart from getting to Wembley this tournament seems to be of little interest to fans in general.
  9. A great game. Just e watching these games Canberra -Warriets game and I feel the skill level in on the Wigan-Warrington game was higher.
  10. The commentary was superb. All about the game. No harping on about the officiating. Class act.
  11. It’s on YouTube if you want to watch it.
  12. There is a cracking night lined up on the Friday night 28th March with the launch of a new documentary telling the story of Oldham’s Hall of Fame members. It’s been put together by Kevin Fitzpatrick and the heritage Trust and covers all 22 Hall of Famers. The launch night at the Broadway Suite will be compelling viewing & listening with Mike Ford, Mike Elliott, Phil Larder and Terry Flanagan chatting about their careers. Martin Murphy hopefully will be there too. A great night with pie and peas too. Can we tempt anyone to attend ? Here’s the link for the tickets: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/oldham-rugby-league-hall-of-fame-documentary-launch-tickets-1231289262329?aff=oddtdtcreator

  13. One of the parents from a local dance group told me the artist had been changed. From what she told me it sounded expensive to be involved.
  14. Thank you. Once again great research by Michael Turner. We plan to produce one for every match this season. It is a great way to see some previously unseen footage of matches.
  15. Continuing the Heritage Trust series of match previews, by looking back at the history of the clashes. There is some fascinating footage from clashes in 1957, 1959, 1972 & 2003. There is plenty of other from 2000’s also https://www.facebook.com/share/v/15QLw2xn7Z/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  16. I am just going some research for a forthcoming Heritage Trust project and came across this in the Green final from December 1919 following the Broughton v Oldham game on Boxing Day…….. just shows things never change!
  17. It is indeed again fine margins. We need to remember that Oldham out scored Batley four tries to 3 tries, and the Lottery of goalkicking in atrocious conditions left the game as a draw. Back to the fine margins, one of Woods kicks was caught by the last second and pulled into just inside the post and one of Dixon‘s kicks was pulled right at last second by the wind and just missed. In really really poor conditions, I thought the game was really good overall, and we could have snatched it in the final seconds
  18. No one deserves unfair treatment in the workplace. But if they are paid then they should do the job right. I will only reiterate my comments from last week. At the Barrow game we arrived 5 minutes after kickoff. I had my tickets. But there were two security lads at the door and they just waved me through, along with another half dozen who had just arrived. Now I had paid but I didn’t count o. The attendance although the club got my money. I can’t comment on the other people. At the York game we had our season tickets (2) one wasn’t . Then separate to this grandson had bought an adult ticket online just before the match but his wouldn’t scan so he was just let in Maybe a problem with scanner? My solution would be go back to entry through turnstiles and entry to Bar1895 is from the ground
