  1. Steve..... you could always ask for this guy's services... Rotherham Advertiser headline this week reports a plumber fitting a new boiler has been caught on cctv having a J Arthur in the customers bedroom after a good shufty through the nicker drawer. Police found he had installed surveillance cameras in customers homes. A former scout leader, He got 18 months.... eventually. Rotherham.... the sheeitehole that never stops being a sheeitehole.
  2. I have to clear the cellar. I think lord lucan is down there. I'm sure the noises I hear is Harry the spider.... he's an arachnid of size and attitude.... its his patch. I'm scared.
  3. Additional. "Rotherham is to become the world children's capital of culture. There won't be a single red face on the council and south Yorkshire police will completely miss the irony"! Rotherham Advertiser letters. 25/8/2022.

  5. We all bear a cross of some description Neil. This is how it goes mate. Been there. Loud n proud cocker
  6. Aye.... to a point. There are times in my job where sustained verbal and physical abuse and provocation aimed at me has pushed me right to the edge. But I have a professional registration at stake which would be compromised if I ever reacted, even verbally. For me, maintaining professional practice at all times is non-negotiable aspect of my registration. Players do wade in. They always have. The consequences of doing so aren't a deterrent. I don't have answers.
  7. She offered some advice. The German lass took it by the looks.
  8. What a fantastic name. King Robin the fat..... I like it!!
  9. Don't care what anyone says, I really don't. The tournament has been excellent sport. Well produced and presented. A great effort by all and to beat Germany 2-1 in the final not only gives (most of us) a huge lift it will have been massive for women and girls sport. England are European champions. Winners. Beating the all conquering Germany in a wonderful final of a great tournament..... no downs to me. Only ups.
  10. Unless I can drive to the loire valley with one half hour stop, I'll stick to petrol.
  11. Worse than JB? I thought JB was proven to be clueless as a first team coach. Great with youth development.... he's back doing what he's good at. I find it very difficult to understand or follow Mac's reasonings. I concede I know bug ger all about the game compared to him.
  12. I concede my knowledge of the game is nowhere compared to a coach of macdermott's standing. But im bug gered if I can understand JD's omission. Just don't get it.
  13. I've nearly always avoided "the Christmas do" for those very reasons.
  14. I'm not sure I'd try. Eventually he will be consumed by his own hatred. It's quite sad really.
  15. Jason Roy looks like a rabbit caught int lights..... He looked woefully out of sorts and lacking any kind of confidence
  16. Matters not. 1&2 are all but sorted. It's round 5 that matters assuming we safely negotiatethe play offs. You know it. I know it. We've all known it all year.
  17. I realise none of us are getting out of this alive, and accept I'm an age where people that entertained us when I was a nip are now leaving us. But Bernard always came across as a gentle lovely fella. As you say Dave, a legend. A fabulous contribution to his business. I will remember him with fondness.
  18. I don't think there's a cat in cas' chance of two going up, even if TO do finish bottom. I just want to qualify for the final and win it. We're not favourites, I'll concede that. But favs don't always win and fev are testament to that.
  19. I did. It was fabulous. Scales tipped ever so slightly in Toulouse favour for me.
  20. Not really. With you saying it's only £20 going to wakey, I assumed it was just for yourself. Which your £500 comparison is excessive. Way excessive. However, if you're going as a family, two adults two kids, then yes, £500 is about right. If it came to a binary choice, wakey or toulouse, unsurprisingly I'd take toulouse any day.... and we've always had a good following on our trips there
