  1. Well that wasn't the Salford I have become used to. Bodie Croft failed to offload twice and therefore bombed tries. Sneyd dropping the ball. There was something lacking in the fluidity of the team. Hull dug in and gained position from pens for the tries, without those pens they struggled to get out of their half for long periods. Still no idea what the pen was for in front of the sticks which led to Hull taking the lead. Really nervy performance by Salford, good sliding defence from Hull. Need to really up the game for Cas. This is a game Salford would have previously lost so I guess we are progressing.
  2. Sorry to hear that. Every game you attend she will be there in spirit with you.
  3. The problem was Marwen caused us to be deducted points for the failure of the CVA we all knew he was never going to pay. Ian Blease and Paul King have done something special with very limited budgets.
  4. I will believe it if it happens. It's yet another drama in a long line of dramas for Salford. Be interesting to see what deal the team get, will they receive any income from match day sales? How will he invest in the club. I certainly don't want the "Marwen" input again.
  5. If there is a Ref to explain it has to be at the end of the game or half time not during. I was always impressed with Ian Smith and he does explain calls on twitter if anyone cares to look.
  6. Citation- Dangerous Contact - A defending player makes contact with an opponent after the ball has been released by an opponent in a vulnerable position which causes flexion to the head, neck or spinal column on an attacking player, which poses an unacceptable risk of injury to that player.
  7. enjoyed the game, great atmosphere in the ground. It was hot so anything the players managed to achieve is a credit to them. few incidents I'd like to see again including the passage of player prior to Brodie being sinned binned.
  8. there is a Greggs drive through just up the road from the stadium, maybe that's all she sees!
  9. Well what a game, Salford dominated all aspects of the game with the only fit 17 we have left. 18th man needed jabs to make the possible players. Salford have 10 on the injury list, Burke looks to be joining them. Some great tries. Grace injury looked bad just went down no one near him. Ref seemed to want Saints to get the 2nd try, he just kept giving them the ball then sin binned Elijah. I don't care though !
  10. This isn't a mistake in the heat of the game, such as off sides etc. From reading they failed to know the rules. That is a major flaw for a ref.
  11. It seems we have had a few of those announced in the last few days, Pitts, Bousquet, Leeming. Whiley on the side lines after Sunday. Everyone have a big enough squad?
  12. As a fan for me it is about whether I can see what changes a coach made and whether long term they will benefit. Short term pain for long term gain. It is hard to see the overall plan but I don't watch Wire every week
  13. There was a random woman on the touchline in the Salford V Cats game.(no idea who she was or from where) She seemed to decide if a water break was necessary in consultation with the doctors. At the water break the Salford players were also given very wet and I presume cold towels.
  14. I am more surprised that you think a mistype is more important than a player taking out another late on more than one occasion but hey each to there own.
  15. Tomkins is a grub, he shouldn't be anywhere near the GB side. Salford defended magnificently especially in the 2nd half. There are a number of decisions I'd certainly like to see again. I can't praise Salford highly enough in the conditions.
  16. The problem with the Koukash take over was he went about it the wrong way. He didn't put the club structures in place, threw a hissy fit and did away with the Academy. He gave us Noble followed by Harris. Enough to turn any fan off. He bought a lot of players but not a team If we scrap the cap, teams like Salford will be asset stripped because the richer clubs will be able to have bigger squads and the likes of Hastings, Croft, Tui would never sign up to join a smaller club. Salford have enough problems trying to keep players. Saints could have made Grace one of their top earners but didn't think he was worth it. The argument could be made that the cap needs to be raised in line with inflation or living wage changes.
  17. Warrington often have a blip against Salford, don't know if it is a lack of respect or Salford just get under the skin. Most fans accept a dip in results if they can appreciate what the coach is aiming to do. Sometimes it is necessary if the culture of the club needs to be addressed. Powell seems to think that is the case and he offloaded players he thinks are unwilling to adapt. As for Salford, it's great to see the fight in the side, to come back from the position they were in is fantastic. Maybe Warrington were in a false position as they scored the bulk of points when Salford were reduced in numbers.
  18. BBC News! Yesterday their headline was Duke and Duchess of Cornwall pay tribute to Dame Deborah James. No No NO. It should all be about Dame Deborah not someone else bandwagon jumping.
  19. well I never saw that coming. Could only manage to name 19 players. Some time everything just clicks
  20. Really pleased to see a hedgehog shuffling round the garden in the last few days. It's been years since I saw one. Nice addition to the woodpecker on the feeders.
