  1. Aye, and the longer lower league clubs keep doing this the longer and louder SL clubs will be laughing. Feeder clubs next stop.
  2. I agree, but my point was that i believe the end game aim for SL/IMG is a totally closed shop with 14 clubs and to hell with everyone else.
  3. There you have it. IMG actively harm the game below SL. That can't be right can it? Or perhaps that is the aim all along. Super League totally out on it's own with any other club, no matter their history or future aims, consigned to the bin or feeder clubs at best.
  4. SP said the British and others were unforgotten.
  5. I can, we really haven't a full squad to call on. The CC game against Hammersmith was a disaster for us with three main first teamers ruled out with long term injuries. Add on a small squad with three more players out now, Douglas who hasn't put a shirt on yet, and our half hearted love affair with Leeds and i make Eagles firm favourites this afternoon.
  6. IMG is a stain on the sport of Rugby League and the sooner they pack up and go back to their shiny skyscraper in the good old USA the better.
  7. What about the change from having standards/morals to having none?
  8. How's BM going for your lads over at 'Mount? Going for Fax 28 v 14 Batley on Sunday. ️
  9. 1980 Halifax v Wakefield in't Challenge Cup. No tries as Fax won 7-3 with Jonny Blair's tactical kicking and four drop goals too much for Wakefield in front of a 12,800 crowd. I've never before or since experienced an atmosphere like that day anywhere. Brilliant! ️
  10. I think the answer to this lies with Simon Grix. Certainly on yesterday's performance he's a top championship player.
  11. I remember going to The Boulevard in't '80's with Fax and it was a real experience. Not just a match, but a real day out with reight folk. We once had a pub crawl along Hessle Road meeting a sea of black and white in every pub. Fantastic days and the match was almost secondary. The opening match of the new ground was, of course, against Fax and whilst it was a good occasion it certainly wasn't The Boulevard. Thrum Hall was very similar. Some of my best ever memories are from up there, especially night games, the atmosphere was second to none. Go forward thirty odd years and it's almost a toil of a pleasure going down't Shay. We still do go down but nothing will ever bring back those days. Up The Fax! ️
