A workmanlike performance today winning 40-10 in front of 401 spectators. It was very cold and there was little protection in the stand from an icy wind.

Glad to be watching the Knights again in York ,the game itself was a bit scrappy due to the skinny 10 yards the referee gave London, but a win is a win.Talking to somebody before the game that at last we are going to get some positive news this week about the Stadium. Has anybody who is close to the club heard anything?

Unless the news is Guildford selling up then it won't be positive.

Positive news has been promised since November when it was stated by Guildford "only the i's to dot and the t's to cross" which turned out to be as true as Neville Chamberlain's "Peace in our time speech" Every few weeks we get the same "good new this week".

Even if the positive news comes out on time,

even if it puts yck into Bootham Crescent (on 19th July- although nobody but a chosen few know what's going on apparently),

even if it puts yck back into training and gym at st johns,

even if Grimmer is coming to Yck on loan,

Even if yck is back in the stadium...

Next season, bottom of league with less than 200 season ticket holders, scrabbling around for players, club constantly begging for money to pay family salaries - 5 years from now, no yck.

Unless, the positive news is jg has gone completely and forever - in which case, we've got a chance. And I'm pretty positive about that.

Scrappy game owing to the visitors' spoiling tactics, but lovely to hear fans supporting the team and rising above the politics.

Spot on there, thanks to Heworth for looking after us really well.

Thought we did the basics very well, but not an outstanding performance

Elvis, Minikin, Cunningham & Howden stood out for me

well so far the 'journeymen' of York have put a stack of points up against the opposition in the four 'home' games thus far. Ive thoroughly enjoyed watching each game and in a bizarre way enjoyed seeing them at fev despite the longer journey. Heworth was of course nearer (after all im not acombknight for a reason...)  but the team are looking solid and entertaining, no one man rugby with this set of lads.....ps on way out passed a jovial guildford ??  least it looked like him........surrounded by other grinning faces...... least some people find mirth in this chaos..........or enjoy the company of sycophants.....  Either way lets stick together, keep supporting and time will tell.......people come and go...... but a club (fingers crossed) stays forever.......
