Mention of Alex Bretherton leaves me wondering: is this his 4th or 5th season with us? How long did he play at Dewsbury before that, and had he played anywhere else? Reason being is that he must be coming up to a testimonial, so he needs to sign on again and drag those old bones (sorry Alex!!) over the whitewash again. For a bloke who had given it up, then signed as cover only, he hasn't missed a game so far, AND gone well in 'em all.

 

And, IMO, a testimonial that would be thoroughly deserved. I would think he is a coaches dream, just goes about his job, whatever it is that he is asked to do, without fuss or fanfare.

This is great news. Players commiting not just for next season but the season after as well. Think i will have to put paw to paper and commit my services until the end of the 2018 season aswell.
