Herbie Farnworth right now

I have watched Herbie Farnworth play many times.

Herbie Farnworth is a classy attacking centre, of great physical stature, and with good footwork and speed. He is going to remain a permanent fixture in the Brisbane Broncos team, unless some other NRL team offers him a much more lucrative contract. But Brisbane wants him. Herbie is a guaranteed NRL run on player. Herbie and the even more talented Kotoni Staggs will make up a powerful Brisbane backiine along with PNG star speedster Xavier Coates and Kiwi Jamayne Isaako.

Herbie Farnworth is highly rated by the Australian NRL TV commentators.

For all those reasons Herbie should be considered as one of the two first choice centres for England in the World Cup. The other centre would be between Oliver Gildart and Mark Percival. All three are better players than Zak Hardaker.

Every time you try to justify that an NRL player should play for England your justification seems to be that the Aussie commentators like them. The same insular commentators that don't know anything outside the NRL and pawn over SOO all year....

The reasons for Farnworth's potential selection are only partially related to the fact that he plays in the NRL. His size, speed, skill and athleticism are the main reasons. It's simply a bonus that he faces high-quality opposition most weeks.

If lads were being suggested for England just for playing in the NRL, Dom Young would have been suggested. Nobody, at this stage of his career, is suggesting that.

Agree but its more the fact that manfreds justification is that the Aussie commentators like a player- the same ones who only watch the NRL and the same ones who in 2017 mid season test laughed at the England team having around 13 of the 17 SL players as opposed to Samoas 15 NRL players so said England had absolutely no chance as Samoa were basically playing a reserve grade team... England hammered the NRL team...

I am unaware of the SOO providing pawn services to Aussie commentators. Frankly, I seriously doubt it. It sounds like something that somebody who hates Australians would fabricate in order to demean them.

The financial borrowing habits of Australian commentators really is a matter that belongs outside this discussion of rugby league talent.
