Bridie Parker try within 2 minutes of the restart. Chooks marched upfield much too easily then had the Knights stripped for numbers out wide when they reached the 20m

Knights back to 13 as Arakua returns from sin bin. She has immediate impact with big run and earns a penalty.

Phoebe Desmond barges over for Knights but held up.

Newcastle have good grunt in the forwards but their backline just looks a bit slower in their execution. TBF, Roosters have McGregor, Temara, Kelly and Sergis in their backline, all international rep players.

Roosters try off a charge down today. If coach John Strange had hair, he`d be tearing it out. Nine times out of ten that play concedes a repeat set. Coach killer.

The try scorer Olivia Kernick is only a young player. As she gains more experience, she`ll learn how to build pressure and not take such risks. It`s a learning curve for the girls.
