Thanks everyone, after my own personal three-peat I wonder should I change my user name from The Red Rooster to Penny Panther (might suit the Avatar better)...😉

For those not in the know, The Red Rooster nom de plume was a comment on Harlequins RL and its lInk with Harlequins RU. Red Rooster being an energy drink in the UK and a fast food chain down under - Confused that's the point..

Thanks R L Winger for your regular participation and successfully encouraging others to take part regularly. You’re a star. 

To everyone reading this …

What pleases me and sustains my efforts is the people who regularly take part with both enthusiasm and grit.

Thank you everyone who has taken part this season and in the past.

Congratulations to The Red Rooster, whatever the name was chosen for, on winning our highly competitive tipping gig three years in a row.

That has never been done before.

From memory I believe no one has won the comp two years in a row let alone three, other than TRR.

One thing I can guarantee is that the winner of Our NRL Tipping Competition 2024 will have had to shown determination and some of that previously mentioned GRIT.

It will be the 19th year of running it. 

In the meantime, enjoy the off season.

I’ll be preparing the weekly comp  banners etc during the break, amongst other things.

Take care, best wishes, have a happy Christmas and a great new year.

Oh and the very best of health as I raise my glass of Vocation Hebden lager to you.

I must admit I'm disappointed with my own tipping i thought i might do better, but sadly no.

I shall certainly be giving more thought to my tips and forecasts next season

It's great to have you with us Lucky 7.

As to tipping, there have been lots of occasions this season when games could have gone either way and have been settled by one score.

Being on the right side in such close calls can be as much luck as judgement.
