After his hat trick performance for the storm against the dragons winger will warbrick must surely be in contention for a starting wing berth.

He's been a good capture from the Dark Side.

He has. He looks like a real talent.

makes you wonder how many more rough diamonds there are out there playing on the union 7’s circuit or in the NZ union 2nd tier NPC domestic competition .

Kalyn ponga is again hitting top form of late and hasn’t yet amazingly played a single game for the kangaroos at the age of 25.

The kiwi coaching team should really start trying to sweet talk him into pulling on the kiwi jersey and represent his parents homeland and his dad’s Māori heritage.

Not a bad shout, but it would mean no more Origin. He might be tempted now that Reece Walsh has emerged so impressively, but I doubt he'd make that call this year.

Australia have only played 10 games since 2017 so it's hard for many very good players to get selected for a team that hardly plays.

Sadly I don’t think international RL when it’s played is that much of a pull for many top NRL players including ponga.

Well you can put a line through Jared waera-hargreaves.

I personally wouldn’t have him anywhere near the kiwis squad as he’s a thug and a liability.

Ponga confirmed last week in an article that he was aiming for Kangaroos selection.

Tohu Harris is unofficially retired from representative football, has been turning down Kiwis selection since 2017.

The Harris situation is a bit unclear - he's missed out on a lot of international action with injury over the years, but may still be open to persuasion, according to this from 2022: https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/06/17/harris-shares-open-conversations-with-maguire-amid-overwhelming-warriors/

Let’s hope so as he’s a quality player who would probably free up Joseph tapine to play prop.
