Could be a lesson to be learned regarding Hunslet . They spent big but ended up losing at home to N.Wales infront of 600 or so spectators. They used the loan system too but came unstuck with 5 players ineligible for the playoffs. I hope we don’t go down that road. It will be tough again next season with Newcastle and one other coming down plus the loser of Doncaster and N.Wales plus Workington and big spending Oldham. But let’s hope we have a squad to compete , certainly a good start with early recruitment.

Looking at other clubs on this forum it appears it will be same again next season in terms of league structure meaning a 9 team league one.

 

Nothing on Hornets site so might not be official yet. If it is there will need to be additional games to make up a reasonable fixture list (maybe play each team 3 times) but that would mean four teams drawing the short straw of two trips to cornwall.

Good signing of Luke Helmes from Oldham -  maybe others from the dark side?    Perhaps the 7 Doncaster players released  https://t.co/0LDXoD23K1 will attract interest?

With League 1 remaining as just 9 clubs for next season, does that mean no extra fixtures?
