Netherlands have just turned the Serbs over 40-10

Pretty big result in the lower ranks of International Rugby. Netherlands really ramping up the International matches, puts the home nations to shame

The Dutch are on the way up and I would now argue are the 8th best nation in Europe.

Serbia seem to have stagnated a little and need to keep their heads down and keep pushing on positively - this isn’t the end of the world for them, it’s good they’ve got some steady competition.

There are far more Dutch eligible players in Australia and the UK than Serbs (top 3/4 levels respectively) - Serbia typically rely on the Former Yugoslav eligibility rule E.g

- Opacic (Slovenian)

- Mirceski (Macedonian)

- Grant at Melbourne Storm (Bosnian)

Strip that layer back and it’s even more limited in terms of heritage depth.

Interesting times.

Would be interesting to name the UK based players in the top 3/4 levels.

Infact any level 

Same goes for the Aussies.

As the Dutch settlers headed for Victoria  AFL will have more Cloggers than the CRL/NRL I would guess.

Anyway great result today and believe it or not Serbia have never beat the Netherlands in what is now four attempts.

Plus their U19s touring the UK

Some of us have been warning about the situation in Serbia for years now. The sport has stood back and left them to it, and now it looks like we've let another opportunity to really assist a developing nation slip through our fingers. You can see the potential for something similar happening with Greece too, given the RLWC nonsense.
