Trades in short supply!

Non bloody existent in my case (just about) !!!!!! I will actually have one trade left after this week. Not happy about it and convinced that I have got the balance of the squad all wrong by attempting to do well in the head to head league and the overall table.

Every season you learn something new and every season I waste a certain number of trades. I fear that making trades became an obsession this year in a desperate attempt to repair the damage I did with my original selections.

After the Roosters vs Manly game I decided to loop my vc (Tedesco ) as it would be safer than hoping for a big score from my captain.

As I was going to bed I had a vision of @Irish Saint wagging his finger at me, unequivocally stating that looping was against the spirit of the game and shouldnt be undertaken.

I woke up this morning to see Cleary's score. He was my original captain. Thank goodness I listened to the vision of Irish Saint.

its a funny old game, isnt it?

Another new rule should be the introduction  of the 18th man. This week I have had Cotter, Garrick  and now Johnston all go off injured  early in the first half. 😫

Agreed. I haven't had the same number off issues as some this week, but the option to nominate an 18th man for anyone who has a first half failed HIA would be good.

With just one change to the squad my the results from last week to this are like chalk and cheese.

The one change was Nathan Cleary...

I also had two players off early in the first half who scored teeny tiny amounts.

Ditto. It's ridiculous isn't it?

Yes, there are always challenges in SC but this season as well as all the previously discussed challenges, there has also been, in my experience, more inconsistency of scoring. Finding consistently high scoring noninjured or non-injury prone players has been more difficult this season, at least for me. I could have done with another 10 trades.

Some football (soccer) fantasy games here allow complete team changes at some point in the season. That probably wouldn’t work here but there have been times this season where I could have traded 7 or 8 players at a time! 😮

I'm tempted to trade Turbo out for Ponga this round and then trade Turbo back in. Anyone think it's not worth the trades?

I can see why it might be worth a punt. He’s a lot cheaper (nearly $200k) than TTurbo and if he were to score big time this round and look good he might be considered as a keeper giving you money to spend elsewhere. He is projected to lose you 40k this week though. Do you need to?

Sounds like you have plenty of trades left.

If you have plenty of trades left, do it.

Rob Sutherland says this on Ponga…

Quote

Kalyn Ponga: This move makes little sense to me. Ponga and the Knights play Penrith this week and I just can’t understand why you would buy a player ahead of that matchup. He does have the Tigers the following week which is obviously enticing but if that’s your target then just wait.

Looking for a top class SC forward for the run in?

Here’s the pick of the crop.

The only problem is you need trades. Due to Manly's bye and injuries had to use the last two to get 17 out on the pitch in a hope of making the eight.
