21. The Ghost Talks.
A flashback episode, where we finally get to see Marty when he was alive. Jeff is in hospital with a broken leg and Marty entertains ( or bores him in equal measure), by telling him of a case he worked on years ago when Jeff was away in Scotland. Marty was hired by Sir Basil Duggan of MI5 to rob a safe of a traitor to recapture stolen papers. Unfortunately he was tricked , it wasn't MI5 hiring him, the safe didn't belong to a traitor and Marty has handed the papers over to an enemy agent.
How did Marty get out of this mess? As Jeff says stifling a yawn, " do tell me Marty , as if I didn't know"
Poor Jeff has heard this story so many times and when Jeannie visits him in hospital, and says ," hey Jeff did I tell you about that Marty and the MI5 case when you were away in Scotland?"
A resigned look of despair from Jeff as he has to listen to the whole story again.

        THE PERSUADERS

Definitely one of the most enjoyable ITC adventure/ crime show. Two great talents in Roger Moore and Tony Curtis made it a joy to watch. Steve Coogan is possibly lining up to do a remake.

1. OVERTURE
British playboy Lord Brett Sinclair and his American counterpart Danny Wilde are summoned by retired Judge Fulton to an hotel on the French Riviera where they get into a fight. As an alternative to being arrested the judge 'persuades' them to work for him to apprehend criminals seemingly beyond the law. Their first assignment involves locating Maria Lorenzo - a girl identified by an unusual birthmark. Her brother, head of a crime syndicate, was supposedly killed two years earlier but is very much alive and still carrying on his illegal activities, unknown to Maria. Through Maria, Brett and Danny must find her brother and end his wicked ways.

2. THE GOLD NAPOLEON

In sun-kissed Côte d'Azur, on the tarmac of Nice's Airport, Danny accidentally comes across Michelle Devigne, an alluring blonde art student of the Vallauris Art Centre, carrying a sketchbook with an unidentifiable ink portrait of a man. However, this brief encounter will abruptly end, when out of the blue, an assassin from a distance will shoot Michelle on the shoulder, sending her to the hospital. Why would someone shoot a girl like that or was the bullet actually meant for Danny? As the Authorities require him not to leave the country, Judge Fulton, Brett and Danny will try to find out the connection between Michelle's jeweller uncle who specialises in medals and gold coins and the unauthorised gold trafficking in the shape of counterfeit 100-franc gold Napoleon III coins. Undoubtedly, this seemingly legitimate operation funnels something much bigger, but will the boys figure it out before the birds fly away?

When she has done so he will have outlived his purpose and will be murdered. The Persuaders seek to prevent this and to expose her and her accomplices.

21. A DEATH IN THE FAMILY
Best episode IMO, very funny, with Moore playing a number of roles.
Brett attends the funeral of his uncle Randolph, where his cousin Kate, a crime novelist, tells him that she believes he was murdered. Brett is not convinced but then six more members of the Sinclair family are all bumped off, as well as the family undertaker. It becomes apparent, however, that one of the dead men is not dead after all when he traps Kate and Danny in the family vault. It is down to Brett to rescue them.

The Invaders

The Invaders was a science fiction television programme screening on ABC for two seasons in 1967-1968. It was about the efforts of one man, David Vincent (Roy Thinnes), who witnesses a UFO landing and spends the next year trying to warn the world of a secret alien invasion. He is hampered not only by the aliens themselves, who are disguised as humans, but by the disbelief of officials and the general public.

Opening sequence;

SERIES ONE

1. BEACHHEAD
Architect David Vincent, too long without sleep, takes a side road in search of coffee. But Bud's Diner is closed and so Vincent does the only other thing he can: settles in for a nap. An hour later, at 5:00am, a ruddy glow awakens him. He sees the very unexpected: a space vessel landing nearby! Vincent races off to summon the authorities, but when he returns the dilapidated sign reads "Kelly's Diner" and the ship - if that's what it was - is nowhere around. The authorities dismiss his story by Vincent believes in what he saw, and sets out to find proof.

22.  It's Supposed To Be Thicker Than Water.
Jeff has a difficult talk to Marty, he doesn't want a ghost haunting him anymore and wants to strike out on his own. He accepts a job to help an reclusive millionaire at a family gathering the old man is holding to celebrate his 80th birthday. One by one the relatives are murdered, and Jeff is in deep, time to say sorry to Marty and get his help.

Ep 21 is where Marty writes down a reg no RXD 997F.

Jeff's car -by a huge coincidence - is RXD 996F.
