It doesn’t seem a great deal. Anyone know if the streamed games are sold by the clubs, or do Premier Sports take the cash?. If say, streamed games were £10, would the reduction in crowd be offset by stream buys?.

I can understand why teams are against this deal. The amounts of money involved are tiny, and for all that people like to quote evidence that televised games don't affect the attendance, not all of those surveys are done based on second-tier games in the north of England during a cost of living crisis at a time when concession entrances are being phased out.

If the games were being broadcast on BBC/Channel 4 or even Sky, you could at least make the case that there would be increased exposure, but on a subscription channel such as Premier Sports you're largely preaching to the converted.

I totally agree PH . It is not worth it for the amount of money involved , and are supporters likely to pay probably nearly as much as going to a live match. NO.

I cannot understand why almost half the clubs are in favour.

Unfortunately H it's all smoke and mirrors as the clubs ultimately do not have the power to decide whether the deal is accepted or not. That power rests with the RFL board,

IMO it should be the RFL making decisions. The less power the clubs have, the less everything is based on self interest.
