We ground it out, got the win and should finish top. Barrow will have to win every single game (all seven) to stand a chance to overtaking us.

You never know ? we have won the last 4, we still have a load of injuries but they are slowly coming back and we get a bit after playing almost twice a week lately.

Hey mate, Im not saying you won't at this stage.
If Barrow win every game, including the game at Fev, they finish with 53 points.
So Fev would need 8 points from their 4 remaining games to win the league anyway. So two wins and 2 BPs would be enough regardless of Barrow winning every game.

With a couple of annual promo spots available there would have been 3x that crowd last night
I am a through and through Leigh fan but only watched the 2nd half. I'm just not that interested in a league with no direct promotion. So if I'm feeling like that, what are casuals thinking?
The RFL needs to get real or risk losing many thousands of proper RL fans

Nope
Do you honestly think that RL fans are muppets? Do you really think that people in Britain will happily watch their team in their thousands, to play in a happy clappy lower tier without any clear unfettered route to the top league
Only care-in-the community diehards will do that (probably in the tens-to a few hundred). That is the future of outside of SL without P&R
By the way, SL crowds in now way justify this lack of P&R anyway. It's not as if ALL our SL clubs are getting NRL style crowds is it?

didn't leigh's crowds go down the year they were promoted to Super League?
what effect did regular and frequent promotion and relegation have on Leigh pre SL? Did it make tyhe club stronger?

Change the record
The year Leigh went up they were much higher than the previous year
However crowds in the lower tier relatively to the top league, have been hit ever since the amount of promotional spots was reduced from 4 to 1
So what I'm advocating is not one annual spot but two or three, and eventually four

I think Daryl Powell deserves some credit there. Kainy has been at Fev 3 years. His first year he was an ok stand-off. The second year he was an ok scrum-half. Now he's a impact hooker off the bench and he can be devastating. Good coaching that.

I'll be happy to change it if you will
their average crowds for their promotion season was 2,166 279 down on the previous year.
I ask again did regular and frequent promotion strengthen leigh?

Here he goes again. For crying out loud man the year before they went up they were in the promotion hunt, maybe the games you attend would show a higher attendance if you actually paid in like every one else

For years you've been saying that teams in SL that dont have great crowds should be kicked out and yet your still banging about Leigh being given a SL licence despite the fact that their crowds are abysmal

Kain learnt all his good play at Cas - remember that in case you steal our place in SL one day.

"It doesn't seem like we've had much praise at how well we've done this season."
"Every time we beat a team people say it's because we were lucky or that the opposition didn't play well."

Have you read the thread Toppy? I was pointing out that poor crowds in the 2nd tier result from not having promotion.
Would you watch your team if there was no hope of promotion?

presumably they were in a promotion hunt the year they actually went up.
as for your second comment: thanks for that, it's highly instructive.

Featherstone best team in the league and continue to improve (results prove it)
Best team for me since the super league license started, would love them to get a crack at SL.
my only issue is they are already too many yorkshire clubs and hope Widnes get the slot.
don't bother shooting me down its my opinion.
