I see on the Official Site, there was a Clubman of the Year presentation to Beverley and Alexandra Nicholas.  Surely not?

Surely it was CLUBPERSON of the Year!!!!!  Must get it correct nowadays.

In grammar. 

Some organisations now use the term Chairman as none gender specific so why not treat Clubman in the same way?  The name of the award is the Clubman of the Year , not the Clubperson of the year.   This should not debar a woman from winning it.  Incidentally, my spell checker is happy with Clubman but not Clubperson, suggesting to me that there is no such word as Clubperson.

Digressing slightly, how was this decided ?

 

I didn't go and didn't see any of the voting slips which are usually floating around at any of the games, and I can't recall 'Club person' of the year being on there before ?

Yeah club person been around awhile and I think the club/coach picks it. It wss the lady who sells the golden gamble last year

This was actually the BISSA trophy which is only awarded if the BISSA committee think there is someone who has given there time and energy towards the club. So not given every year

Certainly did Gary. Gary Thornton n Joe Berry picked me. Was part of Supporters Club presentation night in those days.

Hazel Wailes won the BISSA award last year Piggys Mate, not to be confused with the Clubman of the year award .
