I think the clash with football was avoidable, as you say even an hour would have meant less of an issue for home fans.

This is an awful game second half. And this female commentator is very average. Altho not as average as the Bulls tonight.

The development officers is were it needs to focus - but I guess a team of 10 would cost c.£500k and not sure where that money will come from. But can imagine that would have a huge impact over 3-5 years in the game in Scotland. I do think the other issue though is that if you look at world rugby league and where to put limited funds - there are probably quite a few countries where the money would go further and get better return, in which case SRL has to find it themselves - interesting you say no government support, that’s a shame, wonder what would unlock that.

I thought Bulls actually looked ok in attack today, a couple of tries disallowed and sole good expansive play. But silly errors cost us, completion rate must have been poor and ruck defence on one line and was poor. On a separate note, great experience at the ground but the beer … Carslberg, and not only that but awful Cralsberg. Surely they can do better than that

Scotland feels like a lost cause most of the time. Unless there can be some proper investment. I would think with a good number of development officers you could establish a reasonable pyramid with an ambition for a Championship club in the borders region to support a pathway to the top for local players. But Scotland don’t get good crowds for rugby union really or even lower level football. So this would require someone willing to pour money in. And we don’t have any money (you can see with London what happened with investment in development officers years ago - it was great, then the money went …)

No. England Knights should not play France full team. This isn’t a good look for France and reality is Knights will beat them. Play the full England team vs France every year in France to support development but let France also play Wales etc. so they get games they can win and games where they can test themselves against better opposition. A Knights proposition has minimal commercial appeal in my view altho I do like the idea of using it to tour Pacific/Americas places to develop players.

Such sad news. A man who always brought such positivity to any RL discussion. Also amazing how many clubs he had an impact at as well of course as internationally.

I missed the first half but an enjoyable start to second half, but the constant replays and poor timed replays is driving me nuts! What happened to showing both live and replays together? Red card was correct decision, ridiculous tackle!

Switched this on 5 mins ago and already bored. Glad I came on here for the ironing tho
