TheLegendOfTexEvans
Are there teams underneath this level in the different cities that feed into these teams or are these the only teams playing RL at any level? No sport is very different in the USA to europe. But they might get feeder teams going forward. TheLegendOfTexEvans
Philly Fight win the North Conference by a Score of 33 to 24 over Boston 13s in extra time. Dustin Cooper for Boston was ruled out at game time with an Injury. Then Liam Georgetown was sent off for the rest of the game at the 12 minute mark after punching Louis Tulio from the Fight. Boston played 12 men from then on. Scores were locked up at 20 all after 80 minutes so the game went to 2 x 10 mins extra time. Philly took at 26 to 20 lead in the first extra time, then added another try and conversion plus a field goal to go to 33. Boston got back a try in the last minute. But too little, too late. The Fight now head to Boston to face The Jacksonville Axemen in the National Championship.

kiwis 13 6
What is the story with Chicago mid west league is it just Chicago Stockyarders playing exhibition matches? What is the story with Hawaii how come USARL are not involved in recent Ohana cup & is rugby league actually played in an ongoing basis in Hawaii? Why does rugby league have no presence on the West Coast of USA? When there is a decent number of number of Samoans, Tongans, Kiwis, Aussies and English on the West Coast who would have an interest in the sport. USARL has links to 3 non existent West Coast Clubs 2 in LA and one in Seattle, also Salt Lake city Utah has been mentioned in the past due to the Mormon church & a large Pacific Island population. If there was a Spinner Howland type of person on the West Coast dedicating time to driving and coordinating things i'm sure they could get a 6-8 team comp going on the West Coast? PaulF
Other than Spinner's recent comments, news from the US has for the most part dried up. When the AMNRL was still in existence both organisations seemed to be trying to outdo each other in their plans for expansion. Did the USARL need a mortal enemy to drive them on, to prove they were right to break away, and now that they have won the need to drive themselves on has diminished. I wouldn't blame them if that really is the case, the job they've given themselves is immense.

MEXICO WILL PAY
Maybe having two organizations trying to grow the sport in the US wasn't such a bad idea after all. How many new clubs have been formed in the US over the past year?
