  1. Afaik, it's the foundation that are running the ladies team in 2026.
  2. Yet according to a couple of posts I've seen, one on the Fev forum and another on FB, there was alleged to be a second bid that hasn't been acknowledged by the administrator. I'm not going to suggest it was a viable one, or that it's even true, but does raise a potential question if it is factually correct.
  3. I know, not the first time it's been done. It's a bit of a misnomer that the land would propel us to the next level on its own however, it's always needed someone with cash to enable development of a long term revenue stream. You can only mortgage so many times...
  4. Whilst an asset in accounting terms, land in isolation is a fairly useless asset unless you can lease it out. What the club has needed to do is to realise some of the land's value in order to invest, use the land and generate a long term return. Unfortunately, what appears to have happened, at least in part, is that the land has been used to secure funds for investment but said investment went on the squad, not the infrastructure to provide long term security.
  5. It would be quite left field if it's not.

  7. "Financial pressure" in the business overview feels a bit of an understatement when there has been a loss of £800k per year against a turnover of £1.6m. As an accountant, I'm aware there is far more to a set of accounts than just the headline figures, but still...
  8. That's the usual process if a company puts itself into administration.
  9. The club appoint the administrator (doesn't have to be the club, but appears to be in this instance) who then takes independent control.
  10. Can anyone else remember the change in ownership of the Phoenix Club in the second series of Phoenix Nights?
  11. Ignoring the typo in your original post, would you mind if I framed this quote to share with my wife.
