  1. That doesn't protect you from a ###### kit, and just means you have it for longer.

  2. Just a little update on the situation with my brother because I know some of you have been pretty concerned. He took going to jail pretty hard. He's refusing all food, he's spitting and screaming at everyone and is threatening violence at anyone who comes near him. He's smeared the walls with faeces and is refusing to wear clothes. As a family we're pretty united in our decision not to play Monopoly with him anymore.

  3. It looks like it's the logo they'd use for their email footer and they've just transferred it over.

  4. York City Knights tell me they're returning to a printed programme for 2022: "We didn't do them in 2021 to minimise cash handling and contact in line with Covid-19 precautions, but we are happy to be bringing them back next season." [perhaps a mod could pin this thread, in place of the 2021 version?]

  9. Awful. These are proud clubs with 100-150+ years of history and their players shouldn’t be wearing such tat. Might be better to launch a home kit one year, away the next, with heritage/one-offs in between.

  10. Hasn't happened very often but in the 2019 1895 Cup we played a handful of DR lads away at Widnes and rested plenty of regulars, possible that might happen again in that comp or even in the Challenge Cup. More frequently though it's been a case of waiting for an injury and then proving themselves and keeping their spot, such as when Alex Sutcliffe was a late call-up at Leigh one day and ended up playing almost the entire rest of the season. Strange thing to say, for a few years now he's been by far the most reliable media source for RL signings news including about us.

  11. Good comment I saw earlier about how it always ends in a discussion about bowlers when the batting unit is consistently out for completely inadequate scores. Everything is pretty much academic when you're all out for 147 having chosen to bat.

  12. The 2022 vintage seems a good argument for less is more, ie two-year designs done well rather than annual launches that look cheap & nasty.

  13. My parents went on holiday to China a few years ago. They bought a couple of nice small clay warrior statues. They've positioned them side by side facing the same way on the piano back at home. However they must be possessed and prefer to face each other and do so without help every few days. It's either that or the vibrations from the lorries passing, but that is a much better story, and pretty puzzling at first.

  14. People complain when sponsor logos are too visible, people complain when they're not visible enough. That's what I have learned from this thread.

  15. The RFL should have bought a failing hotel and turned into something else because it's on a nice square.

  16. Hummel making the kits for 3 years so they will at least look professional!

  18. JD is in there, on the bench. Field did well for us this year and I'm sure he'll play plenty of games again for us next year, personally I have a narrow preference for Cooper but not much in it. We have never been obliged to play them and it's been fairly obvious over a number of years that there have been opportunities to play Leeds players and we have chosen to go with our own. Leeds' reasons for sending them haven't changed and I think you may be reading too much into Matt Shaw using the word "regular" in his article. In fact, I'd suggest the players concerned are just as likely not to play for us due to Leeds withholding them on occasions for their own first-team squad as due to us not selecting them, because it's not difficult to narrow down who these players are going to be now that Bradford have announced their loanees, and the DR lads are all going to be knocking on the Leeds first team door when injuries or suspensions hit them. I would think we'll use them either when the coach thinks the player concerned represents the best option to us, or when injuries/suspensions strike, or when we want to give one of our lads a rest. So pretty much as it has been in previous years. There's every chance we will have upwards of 33 games this season so there may be plenty of squad rotation. I don't think it has ever been the case that we only used DR to cover injuries and suspensions.
