IMG Grading System (Many Merged Threads)

Is anyone on this board even in that demographic? By which I mean, would we know if they were or weren't doing it and/or were doing it well or not? -
Getting to the start line was challenge one and that’s been accomplished. Beyond that, it looks like it’s going to be a struggle.

Lots of errors from both teams. Hard to judge how good either really are on these performances.

Nice to have clips of tries and action at half time rather than a screen sayings 'We'll Be Back'

Bingo.

You don’t understand what removing something that was a part of the old format has to do with the format?

Eight games, which all seem to end up counting for something, no teams getting a second chance in the Europa League, and then four knock out rounds including the final. That doesn't feel particularly bloated.

Third Cup Competition? (Just an idea)
gingerjon replied to sam4731's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Agreed. The previous end of year series was a nice wind down after the crowning of a champion, the current actually crowns the champion. It is not a change of emphasis. It is a change of purpose. -
England v Australia 2025 - coming to the UK!
gingerjon replied to Chris22's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
The last report was that the RFL were preparing a business case so I'd assume that means that zero is confirmed as there's been no solid update since. The women, if they play, will be curtain raisers and we'll have all the quotes about how it's such an honour to play at a big stadium. -

Then we come back to whether anyone in a position to replace them is exceeding those numbers. -
Was talking to Tiny Ginger about this yesterday and we both had to admit that, this season at least, we were wrong. It’s working well and the football has been interesting.

Film Thread (What have you been watching?)
gingerjon replied to John Drake's topic in Any Other Business / Any Other Sports
It could probably lose about fifteen minutes and be the better for it. But it's proper unapologetic filmmaking and we don't see enough of that. -

Following a 1944 German comedy with a 1937 German comedy. Neither of which could have been made without the express approval of the Nazi party, both of which feature leading men who were married to Jews at the time the films were made. Both quite funny too. The Punch Bowl (1944) and The Man Who Was Sherlock Holmes (1937) are the films. Both available in full and for free on YouTube and the Internet Archive. -

There wasn't a winning side so it became a bit moot. -

It is #toosoon to talk about that game. -
The 1980s is now close to being 50 years ago. It is, very much, time to move on.

Yes. You’ll note the club doesn’t exist in any meaningful sense and has lost most of its supporters. -

Eddie Hearn talking SL again......

He saw a decent game with some sparkling football. Probably been a while for him since the last time that happened for him.
