Yes you're right about how they scored those 2 tries. The frst try they scored was because nobody looked up at the numbers on the left hand side, and slid across. From just watching the highlights from both Fev and London, what was apparent was the total lack of line speed defensively, we were waiting for them to come to us. Now there's only one person to blame for that. Surely after the first few minutes he could see we lacked intensity. So why weren't the worst culprits taken off.

"How can he leave out player X?"
wasginger replied to The Phantom Horseman's topic in Featherstone Rovers
I think Gaz Gale could be a surprise omission against Donny. I don't know whether he's got over that injury he had last season, or a lack of confidence, He hasn't run in with the same impact in the games so far. At half-time I'd have said Lacans was struggling, especially how other players have done at half-back. Did he make me eat my words 2nd half. He definitely put his name in the frame for Sunday. I'm glad I'm not the coach picking 17 to play on Sunday. -

Lacans - His 2nd half performance was what he needed and looked good. Beckett - What an engine has this lad got. Williams - Ran some good lines. Looks a good signing. -

Cas takeover delayed.
wasginger replied to Wollo Wollo Wayoo's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
While I have a bit of sympathy for Cas. Every time they've tried moving to a new stadium things have gone t**s up. Even last season putting seats in the Princess St stand was a sticking plaster solution. Cas have promised for well over 25 years to do something. When you look at other clubs like Hull KR who got promoted from the Championship and improved not only the ground but the fans match day experience. Even Wakefield who took nearly as long to renovate their ground, are still improving even after the building the new stand. Sadly we've reached a point in the game where it's no longer good enough just treading water each season. -
Beaumont suggests walking away from IMG and SKY
wasginger replied to Dave T's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
I think Skys' dominance in sports coverage has been spowly eroded over the past few years. How many sports have they lost to what is now TNT sports. Football is now available on many platforms. Sky once dominated Football coverage. Rugby Union and the Premiership has moved to TNT. Test series in cricket has also been lost. Boxing was one of the mainstay sports at one time, again other platforms have joined with their coverage. Motorbike coverage has been lost. In fact TNT have bought the Eurosport brand in the UK. Eurosport UK finishes 28th of February. TNT now have the bigger portfolio of sports. So perhaps Derek Beaumont isn't wrong in what he says. As for if their will be another offer of a contract with Sky, time will tell. What size that contract offer would be. I'd hazard a guess and say lower than the last contract. -
Do you know I have an unhealthy dislike for Bradford Bulls ******s and their fans. Now I could tell you how I really feel, but I'd probably be banned. So I'll just say this stick to your own forum, and if you like sex and travel off you go.

First away game I remember was at the old Parkside ground Hunslet. At that time the Green Final paper used to take a photo of a section of the ground, and circle someone's head, if they came forward they won 5 bob I think it was, and I'm there at the front of the railings hat and scarf on with my Auntie. I was about 4 years old. -

Donny did have lights at Tattersfield. There was an u21's international played there GB v France under those floodlights. -
Another signing being announced tomorrow.

it will be interesting to hear the clubs response to our grading, and in what areas we can or will be improving on.

Well the season has just ended, and we've already got the laughing policeman appearing. I was opposed to Ford being coach for next season. Then when you watch some of the tries scored last season, you realiise the players did move the ball around, and created space out wide for wingers to score. When a winger can score 21 tries from 26 appearances. It tells a different story from the percieved 5 drives and a kick. There were many factors why the team struggled during the season. The main one for me was players who've been at Fev some time, couldn't take in that the first time in years we weren't invincible. Then the half-back situation didn't help, not being able to put the same combination out every week, was another concern. Injuries then took their toll, indiscipline was terrible at times. Then players not playing to the structures. I think that's where all the other reasons were responsible for some abject performances. So I'm going to give Ford the benefit of the doubt for now, and hopefully we'll have a focused group of players for all the games. If Paul Cooke is the new assistant coach. Good luck to him.

Horrible Little Scrote

Richard Chapman. Boy could he wind the opposition up. He could also back himself up as well. A great player for Fev. -
Long lost tactics and strategies
wasginger replied to Damien's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
There are more variations to the wall set piece. If you had the players that understood the move it could work a treat. The downside was, the defending side would rush the wall and try to knock the attackers to the floor, by fair means or foul. -
Is this the most one sided round ever?
wasginger replied to MZH's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Totally irrelevant that you need to know about which club posters support. Why do you need to evalute my assertion. Whenever I post on his forum. That is what I believe. There's no grey areas it's up to people to decide if they agree or disagree. Have you ever thought I might just be a supporter of the game. This is my last response to you. Stick your assertions up where the sun don't shine. -

What relevance has to who I support or follow, to do with this thread ?
