I think the RFL/rugby criteria are a whole different kettle of fish to footy ones for a wet pitch.....we're a much harider lot....tough as old boots...judging by the state of the wigan match at the mo....we could need canoes, and the rfl/refs wouldnt call it off.....

 

i hope my optimism is proved right!

The Bower Fold pitch generally drains well, having had a lot of money spent on drainage a few years ago.

 

We have had a lot of rain down here over the past few weeks and I don't think it will be in a fantastic state. If it passes muster for Saturday's game, ninety minutes football obviously isn't going to help matters with very little time for the ground staff to put matters right as best they can.

 

(Also bear in mind Celtic are due to play Radcliffe on Tuesday evening...)
