TOSH1960
Very sad to hear the news that Giants under 19s player Ronan Costello has passed away after getting injured at the weekend. Prayers please for his family, friends and colleagues. He's probably well known by our dual reg lads and so give a thought to those of them training tonight. OutsiderLookingIn
very sad indeed, my heart aches for his family and friends, his team mates, and for the team he was playing on Saturday. A life taken far too soon, doing something he, and we all love.....events like this truly put things into perspective dont they, and make petty moans and gripes seem insignificant. OutsiderLookingIn
Tragic news. My heart goes out to his family and the Giants at this sad time. As has been said a tragedy like this puts life into perspective. Indeed it is TBF, not only puts our own lives into perspective, but all of the petty rugby moans into perspective too....this lad had his whole life ahead of him, and he died, in a tragic accident, doing something he loved. He played, not only for his own pride and passion, but ultimately by doing something that inspired pride and passion and brought entertainment to us...the fans. Dave Naylor
I suppose we should also spare a thought for whichever player or players were involved in the play that resulted in the injury. They'll be going through an emotional time too.

OutsiderLookingIn
I hope someone's keeping an eye on them too. if i recall correctly, most, if not all clubs have a club chaplain, that helps in times like these. Minutes silence before tonights game.
TOSH1960
All Super league clubs and most Championship and League 1 teams have Chaplains. I know the Chaplains at Huddersfield, Salford and Oldham are supporting players and families.
