WELCOME To the TotalRL NRL Tipping Competition 2019 - the home of Australian RL Tipping

This is our first tipping competition the new season. Hope you had an enjoyable off season!
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter the competition and the ones that follow each week throughout the 2018 season culminating in the Grand Final. The NRL Finals Series will begin on 13th September and will culminate in the Grand Final on 6th October.
Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this season for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.

Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round.

You can enter every week (hopefully) or occasionally
N.B. The first game of the season is on THURSDAY, 14th March
ROUND 1 QUESTIONS:
*Poll Competition:
Which Round 1 game will produce the biggest margin of victory?
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

Now the main event of the week:
*Match tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 1

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R1?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*HOME Win Competition:
How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R1?

In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

An animated award will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder

which will be pinned to the top of the forum topic list page.
The best of luck to everyone.

Enjoy your Rugby League!

Re post above:

Mmm Brett Kimorley tipping Broncos eh? He must know something...

Tipping categories in Irish Saints post:

4/3 Broncos over Storm, Sharks over Knights, Roosters over Rabbitohs

5/2 Warriors over Dogs, Tigers over Sea Eagles, Cowboys over Dragons, Titans over Raiders

7/0 Panthers over Eels

The pre season doesn't feel to have given me much of a guide for R1.

With vague recollections of last season - well it seems such a long time ago - and with no form to go on I am tempted by just going with home advantage.

My Round 1 Picks:

Storm - Knights - Roosters - Warriors - Tigers - Cowboys - Panthers - Titans

Points Total: 331

Homes: 8

Poll: Panthers v Eels

Good luck everyone.

Pathetic start for me so far.  I just tossed some balls in the air and picked whatever fell.  I couldn't even remember what happened 5 minutes ago, let alone what happened last season or over the off-season to base my picks on.  Oh well, the only way is up from here.
