750VFR Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Understand there's a game on Wednesday with a 2 pm KO. Can anyone confirm please, and is game at CP, if not where, travelling from Kendal. Their Twitter feed doesn't seem to be active, so any idea where an out of towner can get updates on future games, RFL website is pretty basic, date, time, opposition? David Taylor @750VFR
Keith Nutter Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 6:30pm kick off at Craven Park. This has just been arranged with Salford hence the lack of publicity. Our twitter account is still active and the info should appear on there later. Cheers - Keith.
750VFR Posted October 14, 2019 Author Posted October 14, 2019 Thanks Keith, Got a prior engagement Wednesday eve, I'll look out for future games. It was a pleasure to be at Fev when they won the final last season. Regards, David David Taylor @750VFR
UpTheRaiders Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 I see they play at home again Wednesday 20th anybody know ko time
Keith Nutter Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 Up coming Fixtures are: November 20th Huddersfield Giants (home) kick off 6pm November 27th Wakefield Trinity (home) kick off 6pm December 11th Hull FC (home) kick off 2pm All matches at Craven Park.
Dave W Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 My first time at a Furness Raiders match. a 112-6 win :-0. (at least I think it was - even the announcer lost count - it could have been more). Well worth the £3 admission. even although the game was over as a contest after ten minutes. You can only play what's in front of you, but the only thing big about Huddersfield Giants was their name - some of them looked like they were around 14 - and Furness Raiders forwards just ripped through them with impunity on virtually every drive. Surprised to not find any write up about it anywhere.

MOTM for me was the full back he was outstanding

steve75 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 There were several instances where the fullback could have passed to players who were free but held on to the ball to try and break through/score himself and it was frustrating his team mates especially the right wing who got virtually no ball all of the match. Knowing when to pass will come with experience though.
RSN Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Good result, think Hull beat them earlier in the season and they have a few academy lads in their ranks I think the mail said.
750VFR Posted March 12, 2020 Author Posted March 12, 2020 Furness Raiders 22 - Wakefield College 6, last night in appalling conditions at CP Anyone know when / where semi finals will be? David Taylor @750VFR
Keith Nutter Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 The semi-final is scheduled to be on Wednesday 25th March at Craven Park against Hopwood Hall (Rochdale) with a 6pm kick off. However, both ourselves and Hopwood (and the RFL) are keeping a close eye on the Coronavirus outbreak. At the moment the game is on but as we all know things can change very quickly.
