wiggler Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 'Combined Nations All Stars' - really? I am not discussing the concept here but the allocated name. I find it dull and easy to forget. Is it better then 'the rest of the world' or how about 'World All Stars' or even just 'the world'? 'England takes on The World' would be a great headline! I certainly think the word 'world' should be in there as a verbal link to the WORLD cup and the subliminal impression it gives of RL as a global sport. Or do you love it and can't wait to get your 'Combined Nations All Stars' bobble hat and keyring?!!
DoubleD Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 It certainly doesn't roll off the tongue..........even the Exiles was catchy, if meaningless

I am glad they did not use the word "world" like you suggest as I find thst would be misleading. If NRL players are not being considered, then it is hardly a 'world all stars' team.
