Jake Connor out for 10/12 weeks.

Recommended Posts

Suffered a medial ligament injury at Wakey on Sunday meaning he will miss the Combined Nations All Stars game next week.

Probably means that Hull FC's season won't amount to much now if it ever was going to. At least someone might catch him up as regards try assists, he's currently 6 in front of his nearest rival.

That's a blow.  Essential he's properly recovered before playing. The guy provides something for every spectator, for and against.

Weak in defence

So not international quality

1) I’ve never noticed him being especially weak in defence

2) not all players of international quality have necessarily been great defenders

3) we often like to concentrate on what players can’t do or are weaker in rather than what they can do and what they bring to a side

4) whether he’s picked or not I think overall he’s good enough

Connor’s problem has traditionally been consistency, not quality. He seemed to have the consistency sorted this season.
