As there seemed to be no video evidence of Hepi punching on Premier, it presumably just goes on the officials' report?

Yes and he got 0 matches for that (even though they conclude it was deliberate?), he's just up for the punching now.

  About right although the punches didn't carry much weight players know they can't make contact with the head.

Aye.... to a point.

There are times in my job where sustained verbal and physical abuse and provocation aimed at me has pushed me right to the edge. But I have a professional registration at stake which would be compromised if I ever reacted, even verbally.

For me, maintaining professional practice at all times is non-negotiable aspect of my registration. 

Players do wade in. They always have. The consequences of doing so aren't a deterrent.  

I don't have answers.

I used to greet people who didn't like me as a person I liked. It took the wind right out of their sails. So many of them became affable after that.
