I genuinely think we've played better when we've lacked numbers in the forwards. Pre forward crisis, we'd play everything down the middle, very route one and we simply don't have the pack that we think we do (especially in depth). Whereas now we are being forced to move the ball around, something we are actually good at.

You was right Sam about Saints.

I am going to have to stop wasting money on bets. £10 on a Rovers win with a 14start. That bet can go with my Ritson SL top try scorer, Wire win the League & Cup, Matt Dufty MoS.
I will get my 6yr old granddaughter to pick them from now on.

Yep and of the props in the reserves, 1 is injured, 3 are playing already but unfortunately 2 are pretty useless (Norman & Baxter) leaving only 1 good one in Delaney. The props in the Academy are only 17/18 and nowhere near ready for 1st team yet.

Just think then how we at Leigh manage.

The conditions got worse as the match went on, it was like a monsoon.

The HKR fans deserve their MoM for backing their side, then having to travel  all the way back along the M62 (if it was open). HKR filled 4 supporters coaches which was a great effort, if you think of the cost of they had to pay for the CCF the week before.

Our strongest performance since Wigan at home in June, in my view. The wind was a big factor and taking a lead into half time with the wind against us was a big boost and we took the game away from Hull KR in the second half.

We dominated territory and defended really well. A bit ropey in attack in the first half but clicked in the second half. I didn't think Hull KR did too much wrong. Both sides kept the error count quite low and KR's attitude was first class, which would give me a lot of encouragement if I was a fan, after the disappointment of last week.

Both us and Wigan will be eyeing that top 2 finish. Whoever gets it would get the home semi final and would back themselves in that. Leigh not out of the question either with them having to play both us and Wigan before the season's end.

Hull KR to get into the faces of the Saints player's give them no time and rattle them is their best option, maybe a bit of inside sledging wouldn't go amiss. Saints are under the microscope and they have put themselves there with their disciplinary record this season and will be careful not to overstep the mark, it is up to Mr Peter's to 'legally' come up with a game plan to take advantage of this.

Well that worked a treat.

Not quite it was the other way round in fact. Bell, Delaney & Mata’utia were outstanding. Bells defence in particular was brutal at times leaving a few HKR players in a crumpled heap. And as for Delaney the kid just gets better every week was the best prop out there by a mile. Saints could and probably should have been out of sight in the first 15mins given they had 3 try’s disallowed, think at least 2 of them would have been given if there was a video ref.

Think rovers need to rethink using Lewis at FB he was absolutely awful, couldn’t catch, couldn’t tackle, comedy of errors from him all night.

Rovers tried hard but were just completely outplayed on the night, probably not helped by the awful conditions.

Rovers put in a performance after their efforts in the cup they can be fairly pleased as for St's I suppose they'll be happy with the win and fans relived Wellens didn't give his players the Word "Dish out the dirt" lads quite surprised they listened and their appeal committee don't have to get the begging cap out again.

I don’t think Saints have a committee anymore Tippy.
