NFL Tipping Competition

Recommended Posts

Welcome one and all to the fifth annual NFL Tipping Competition.

As usual I will be off on my holidays for week one. Like last year Palmanova Mallorca

Gerrumonsideref will list the fixtures  for Week 1. First game on Thursday 7th September 2023.

Also could everyone before the first game starts list the seven teams from the NFC and the seven teams from the AFC who they believe will make the play-offs. There will be an extra point awarded for each correct team at the end of the regular season.

The prize to the winner remains a £50 Amazon voucher.

All that remains is for me to wish good luck to one and all.

Last night the longest undefeated streak in the NFL came to an end.

For the first time since September 4th 2015 the Baltimore Ravens suffered defeat in a pre-season game losing 29-28 to the Washington Commanders.  So after 24 straight victories they pass the baton to the Las Vegas Raiders who are currently on six straight pre-season wins.

Most look at these games as "friendlies" as the team's  starters don't start most players used trying to make the teams roster for the season.  However there are exceptions to every rule and John Harbaugh head coach of the Ravens is one of them.

Irish Saint does a fantastic job of running this tipping competition and will provide a £50 Amazon voucher for the winner.

Week 1 fixtures can be found earlier in the thread.

Please nominate 7 playoff teams from the NFC and the AFC as these will count to your score.

Apologies for the messy format of the fixtures!

Thanks to him and yourself for stepping whilst he minces about wherever he is.

Think the Detroit Lions made fools of us all but it was a clutch performance by Jared Goff at QB.

Really looking forward to the return of Redzone on Sky.

Best live action highlights programme there is particularly dramatic towards the end of the 6pm kick offs and 9pm kick offs.

Yeh me too, perfect for a Sunday evening.

Actually a bit disappointed that the Jets are the Monday night game because it's making me wait that bit longer.

I'm fortunate enough to be going am NFL game in Chicago this year so I'm gonna take a particular interest in them this year.

Greetings to all old and new. Special welcome to The Red Rooster , who is doing a good job in defending his NRL tipping title also to another new Australian friend West Tigers Rule.

Comp still open for anyone else to enter as after game oner we are all still on zero.

After a quick glance at the play -off selections they are quite uniform with only 10 teams from each conference being selected

. Good luck to one and all
