I would have thought  kainy finny and thacks would loom large at this time along with the odd appearance of Iestyn Harris

On the opposite wing Gaz Gale has had a hold on the Number 5 jersey for a while. Who else have we had back to 2009?

Some really interesting names coming up here. Amazingly how quickly some get forgotten, or at least how quickly I forget them. Carey never crossed my mind. Chisholm was rapid but not sure he could actually play rugby. Hodson does not register in my mind at all.

Signed from Doncaster, scored a full length try against Sheffield I believe and that’s all he did

That's the one I remember from him too. Undersized, quick, but didn't really make a massive impact for us and returned to RU shortly afterwards i think.

Here's a try he scored on his debut against Leigh.

Carey was a pretty steady if unspectacular player and scored just about our best try of the season against Toronto at home - Dane Chisholm side stepped his way through the defence, kicked ahead for Carey and he somehow managed to get the ball down just before it went dead.

Jamel Chisholm you're absolutely spot on about - fast in a straight line but just didn't look a natural RL player. Not sure how he managed to get the number 5 shirt, but that was the short-lived Bastian reign where Jack Bussey wore 6 (and played half back in preference to Andy Kain under Bastian) so I guess anything was possible.

2014 squad recruitment. What a nightmare.

Finn out, Gaz Moore in. Saxton out, Jamal Chisholm in. Makes you weep.
