First set of games so some big scores expected. I don't really see ay shocks but maybe Huddersfield the one where they might not be as convincing as maybe they are expected to be. Ive always a keen interest with how Bradford are doing, they picked up a surprise win against Stanningly a couple of weeks back before losing to Oulton who couldn't raise a full team but they won't get near Warrington and to be honest I think they would only be around mid table in league 1 this year with the squad they have put together which includes a lot of girls picked up from League 2 or merit team leagues.

Bookies have York -100. Don't think they'll try and embarrass a club they're working with.

Is it just Skybet offering odds? Some of the odds on there are printing money but I can't get anything on with them. 🤣

A very significant result that maybe went under the radar, Cardiff beating Barrow. Could Cardiff mount a serious challenge to get into SL, if so could we build on that to get RL moving in the south of Wales.

Definitely a good result and the fact is that every season over the last 3 years Cardiff have lost some outstanding talent to go back to Rugby Union.

It’s a real shame they haven’t been able to hang on to Ffion Lewis, Bryony King, Molly Reardon and Lowri Norkett.

if they get into the WSL then hopefully they can hold keep these top players.

Managed to get a fiver on at Skybet and plumped for Warrington, Sheffield, Barrow, Huddersfield on an acca but only got 6 point start on Barrow. A little bit annoying as in the lead up to the game could have got up to +18 on them. Noted that Bradford could not raise a full team for their game and its going to be a very long season for them despite getting off to a winning start in their first game.

The Cardiff result was a cracker for them - but it also indicates what a hard time Barrow are going to have in Super League this year.

In other news, Kelsey Gentles marked her return after maternity leave for York against Sheffield by scoring two tries in the first ten minutes - starting as Prop. Could be the women's game's answer to Reuben Wiki......
