European Wheelchair Club Challenge Live on the Sportsman - Wigan Warriors vs Catalans Dragons

That Catalans team have some great players so no surprise to see them deservedly win, but I don't like that sneaky French trick of wearing tags a similar colour to the shirt.

Great to see a thread on this game on TRL.

Congratulations to Catalans Dragons, what a fantastic team they have.

But.....

why isn't this featured on the RFL socila media feeds?

why isn't the game reported on the BBC Sport Rugby League pages but only found on the Disability Sport pages?

Wheelchair RL is an elite sport for people with disabilities...

Wigan Warriors could be contesting a regional preliminary under 12 tiddlywinks match and I'd still be desperate for them to lose.

Allez Les Dracs!

Thankfully most people put supporting British RL above petty rivalries.

I noticed that too today, they do exactly the same thing in the Internationals.

1. I very much doubt that's true.

2. These 'petty' rivalries make sport. Sport is built on people having a tribal passion for a particular team which in part means disliking other team/s.

If one of the two teams involved in a tiddlywinks competition were representing Hull KR I’d be supporting the opposition.

This was my first ever live wheelchair game and got to say it was a great experience.

The speed and skills - especially from Catalans - is just incredible to watch close-up.

It's fantastic isn't it?
