When he was on the coaching team at Wigan i remember him saying that he watched every minute of every game in the NRL and i think what a fool Powell was not to retain him on the coaching staff when he took over the reins at the Wolves.

No doubt about it the Bronco's started playing a different more expansive game since Lee's arrival there, they didn't look like they were going anywhere under Walter's then BOOM, the Englishman cometh.

Always admired Lee Briers as a player. I really hope he stays in Australia and builds himself a long-term career there. You can be employed securely as an assistant for years, steadily growing your experience in truly professional sports organisations, and earn a far better living in the NRL whilst having a far better lifestyle in Australia. Think it'd be a crying shame if he came back "home" for a head coaches position too soon. What a life opportunity for him and his family.

I am not sure how learning his trade as an assistant for a few years is showing a lack of ambition.

He isn't a player anymore, he could be coaching until his 70s - He doesn't need to rush in and be a head coach instantly

I enjoyed the 1980's but I wouldn't necessarily want to go back.
