27.5k according to Wikipedia.
27k according to Worldstadia.com
26,019 according to BBC, here: http://news.bbc.co.u...gue/4528920.stm
25k according this website: http://www.napit.co....adfordbulls.php

Bit of a conflict there....

26,019 is the correct figure Mark.

My post was about stadium criteria.

I didn't mention how underwhelming RL was, in Warrington schools did I? If Warrington is such an RL place why are there no decent amateur clubs there?

Warrington Amateur clubs (all fairly decent):-
Warrington Wizards
Bank Quay Bulls
Crosfields
Woolston Rovers
Latchford Albion
Rylands Sharks
etc.

My son goes to Willlam Beamont School which is very active in Rugby League. The school situation wasn't the best in years gone by but a lot of work is going into it now.

Of course if you'd like to give us details of why you think the amateur scene in Warrington is poor or your experience of schools RL in Warrington then please tell us.

I did say earlier that Leigh have a fantastic ground. It is a credit to the club and the town. Unfortunately the SL franchise criteria cover a bit more than just the grounds.

On only one occasion I've seen the LSV without no fecker in it, and that was England v France. Which was mediocre.

Build it and they will come? Nah, not really, but we'll keep banging on about how shiny and square our shoebox is, nevermind no-one watches and the team is pants, oooo look, perpendicular oblong.

As the great philosopher Chubby Checker once said, 'Let's twist again like we did last summer...'

Why are there no standards regarding the viewing geometry (

and I suppose the only geometry that should get a point would be rectangular then ?

Widnes would of course walk straight into Super League with their superb ground.

That is if you overlook the clubs appalling history of financial mis-management, their reliance on Wigan cast-offs, & their close proximity to other SL clubs .

And before anyone mentions that Toulouse finished 10th.

How many of those were produced by Barrow 4 or 5? and would that be less if you didn't have a couple of injuries and put youngsters on the bench?
