If you look back over time and across websites this kind of debate always starts off focussing on how yestin haarriss will manage in netball, continues with whether or not he will play Wing Defence or Goal Shooter and descends into RL will is in terminal decline,
Whilst failing to talk in any way shape or form ( apart from the terminal) RL !
If "We're all doomed, doomed I tell you."  it will be because  we've lost track of the ball!

Rugby League is far from doomed. The only person who thinks it is ,is DSK.Who only started that particular train of thought after Wigan put 80 points on Hull KR.
Sports with interchangeable skill sets will always lose some athletes. This hardly sounds the death knell for Rugby League,in either hemisphere.

#3015062 Four Nations: England squad discussion thread

Its as clear as day to me that 1. Tomkins, 6. Widdop and 7. Smith is the stronger combination - better structure and more attacking options.

Defensively, much of a muchness, i don't know who organises better and if we're relying on who is the better tackler, then we've bigger problems upfront so it doesnt matter.

So, ive gone Tomkins > Hardaker as Tomkins offers a significantly better second man option. Tomkins assists for NZW were pretty high this year if i remember correctly. Against what could be an inexperienced centre pairing (assuming we beat oz we'll win it) those plays and perhaps more importantly, the option of those plays will make the difference - dragging middle men wider to allow Clarke and O'Loughlin to create in the middle.

I've said before that i'm not a massive Smith fan, but playing people out of position is never the right option.

Tomkins has to be at fullback, offers a greater attacking threat than Hardaker and is less selfish when the opportunity to put others in arises.
1. Tomkins
6. Widdop
7. Smith
9.Clark
13. O'Loughlin.

it was also more than a shove, flowers clattered him round the head from behind which is why hohaia chased after him.

I refuse to answer,as I may be accused of being sensitive or anti Wigan bias.

Perhaps if he was a rhino he would get a slap on the wrist

Pathetic.
Moon, 2 game ban for a shoulder charge that contacts the head.Walmsley, shoulder charge, contact with the head,1 game.

#3011093 Cup Final

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 10 October 2014 - 01:11 PM

To be fair would be nice to know who this 'terrysebbisgod' fellow is??? As many of the former players who were there Sunday said we played wernt tough enough from the start and said we should have squared up earlier, im curious to know who you are???

A former player,it's all you need to know.
What you don't seem to realise is your actions have an influence on the junior teams.
I know the clubs philosophy is to have a club known for playing hard but fair rugby, respected by other clubs.
Not a club who have a reputation for cheap shots and brawls when the game is gone.

#3009792 Four Nations: England squad discussion thread

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 08 October 2014 - 01:15 PM

Not true but never mind

Cudjoe hasn't been as consistent this season but he's a world class centre (last player to score against Aus too iirc) - as a giants fan I'm glad he's got a rest instead but last years world cup pairing was the best we've seen in an England set up in decades and matched the Aussies every step

Crabtree is immense in the forwards, if he played for another club he'd have won as many caps as Peacock, look at his stats this season and tell me who is genuinely better

But hey, I keep forgetting they are Huddersfield players so they must be ######

Cudjoe is good but not world class,as this season has shown.Crabtree reminds me of Ian Kirke, which isn't saying much,he's been overtaken by Hill and the Burgess twins.

#3009639 Hull FC owner expecting strong 2015 from his side

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 08 October 2014 - 10:10 AM

This week its Pearson bigging up his squad, last week Hetherington was telling us 2015 will give Leeds fans their best squad ever.
Who next?

It's all about selling season tickets, you'd hardly expect them to say "not expecting much for 2015".
