#3270177 Shoulder pads

Posted by terrywebbisgod on Today, 03:49 PM

Technology has moved on since then. Most are now built into a Lycra or mesh shirt. I think the max thickness for padding is now 10mm.

It's a shame we haven't had a hurricane Higgins.

Maybe not what this thread is for, but my Dad passed away this afternoon following a very short illness.

Rest in peace Dad, love you xx

Very Sorry to hear the news Dave. May he rest in peace.

Long live schadenfreude.

#3265763 Ricoh Arena Could Get RL Role

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 01 February 2016 - 04:10 PM

If we used Manc rl's criteria of "teams who don't cut the mustard, remove them" would mean that their wish for games to be played at Batley or Rochdale wouldn't happen, given their decline over the decades.

#3265733 Ricoh Arena Could Get RL Role

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 01 February 2016 - 03:23 PM

WTF does "earning the right" for a stadium entail.
International Rugby League should be played in Coventry, London and anywhere else the RFL see fit.
This isn't a local sport for local people.

#3264115 The RFL announce a 3 year deal with........

How much is the deal and how is the sponsorship going to be utilised ?

Free cheesy peas at every game. It's easy peasy with cheesy peas.

#3263772 Paul Rowley resigns at Leigh

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 29 January 2016 - 07:15 AM

Wow, do teams do that?

No, it just seems like that when teams go to Huddrsfield.

#3263491 Leeds Rhinos Stadium Development

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 28 January 2016 - 02:13 PM

Cheers...how did leeds get the eastern terrace/carneige stand built then? Cos theres houses opposite that stand...just like the western terrace

The houses behind the Carnegie are further away, not by much though.

Wouldn't they take the big games to elland road??

They haven't with the WCC. It would cost money to stage games away from Headingley. The cost of building two new stands plus the cost of either refurbishing Kirkstall or finding a replacement would stop that.

#3263422 Bulls sign Mathers

Good signing for the bulls.

#3263338 Leeds Rhinos Stadium Development

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 28 January 2016 - 11:47 AM

Is the new stadium coming with lifeboats to aid the fans getting to & from the ground ?

No flooding near Headingley stadium. It's not often you're right but you're wrong again.

#3263285 Leeds Rhinos Stadium Development

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 28 January 2016 - 10:39 AM

Still no roof over the western terrace I see, seems the whino's still don't give a damn about the away fans

It's been done many times but just for you. THE CLUB CANNOT COVER THE WESTERN TERRACE BECAUSE THEY ARE UNABLE TO GET PLANNING PERMISSION DUE TO THE PROXIMITY OF THE HOMES BEHIND THE STAND. So instead of trolling, try doing a bit of research first.

#3258461 Cas Stadium update

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 16 January 2016 - 07:00 AM

dont we beat rhinos on there own patch easy 2 points

A well deserved victory but didn't alter anything by the end of the season.
