Again, you've replied seriously to yet another of my miserable attempts at humour.

My posts will have to have advice notices on how to take them soon. :-(

The first line sums it up perfectly.

#3145774 Koukash plans more signings and says 'Will reveal all next Tuesday'

He's a breathe of fresh air, done more for the sport in his tenure than the rfl have done in 120 years, blah, blah blah.
There's a way to conduct press conferences and that wasn't it.
The man is an idiot.

There must be a queue of players waiting for McGuire.

Talking of cheap shots.

Except McGuire does it every tackle
Unless he is sliding in with his knees of course

Every tackle you say, surprised he manages to play at all, with such deplorable acts.

#3145311 Gareth Widdop to Leeds?

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 22 June 2015 - 02:45 PM

Interesting but I doubt any truth in it.
Widdop has expressed no interest in playing in the UK so expect this is wishful thinking.

Admitted Leeds are wealthy enough to put a big offer in (they're ankle deep in cash) but can't see him coming to Headingley or anywhere else in SL for the foreseeable future!

Leeds are on a sound financial footing. They will have the cash to sign him, they will take it all in their stride.

Maybe not but Leeds are a big name over here with a high profile. If they could put a decent sponsorship linked package together then I'm sure you wouldn't have to twist his.....

Uh oh, I've gone and done it again.

We'll wait until the deal has been rubber stamped.....ooooooppppssssss.

Give over!  You'll be telling us you haven't heard of Les Kellett or Mick Macmanus next :onthequiet:

Who?

#3145249 Gareth Widdop to Leeds?

Posted by terrywebbisgod on 22 June 2015 - 01:47 PM

Signing Widdop certainly wouldn't surprise me then. Direct replacement for Sinfield with 175k counting on cap. In the context of that profit the difference in wages between the 2 won't be an issue.

It's a question of whether GH is willing to pay,he's tighter than a submarine door!

#3144748 21 Jun: Leeds Rhinos v Hull FC KO 3pm

Yes, but it's a desperate tackle and he's gonna hold on to whatever he can, if he's only got his left leg he's hardly going to let go.

The harsh reality with Maguire, and I hope you'll go at least some way to agreeing here, is that he's always trying to gain an advantage for his team by milking penalties and he's very good at it. I've now watched the incident over a dozen times and am not sure if Sneyd promotes the twisting or if he's following Maguires movement of twisting himself, writhing round on the floor in an attempt to get a penalty and Sneyd in the bin.

Maguire only reacts in pain when pulling his leg away at the same time Ablett appears. Obviously I'm not saying Ablett had anything to do with it but it gives a good timescale when watching.

As I said earlier, if Sneyd is guilty then the RFL should give him a ban to reflect this but I don't think there was intent, just a dangerous movement and that should perhaps deserve a couple of matches to make him be more careful in future.

I honestly can't see McGuire twisting, also having watched it back on numerous occasions.

I'll leave it at that.

Whatever happens,happens .
