Some right jokers here. Im not condoning the young hot heads actions nor stating the officials job is an easy one. Touch lines are far more stringent now esp in the junior game. Refs need to have thick skin but the fragile ones will always have their feelings hurt. Cant take the heat get out of the kitchen. Try chess
As Hvy wg has stated, spiral bombs move in the air,it's nothing like catching a cricket ball. You think you are in position to catch a ball and the spiral makes it shift position, making it hard for a player to adjust in mid-air,hence reaching for the ball and making the technique look poor.No player catches every kick.
whose place is he going to take then? Considering we already have Sutty backing up and pushing through, would we be getting rid of both Sinfield and McGuire? Or just one with Sutcliffe taking a first team place and pay big money go have a 22 year old Brierley to do what Sutcliffe has been doing as a 17, 18 and 19 year old?
For all the complaints we seem to have pretty a pretty good transition structure at the moment. Over the next year Sutcliffe steps in to McGuire role and the year or two after young Smith in the academy can step up to Sinfields position next to a Sutcliffe with nigh on 6 years of first team appearances. If Smith doesn't kick on and no - one else comes through then there are still 3 or so years before we NEED a new half
I think prop is a bigger need for us, as well as hooker
So we should hope two aging players stay injury free. Not only do Leeds need a prop and a hooker but also a creative halfback. It's no good having arguably one of the best backline in SL if the ball is slow getting to them, which for the past few seasons it has been.
