Not condoning the behaviour but playing for Walney Central up at Millom in the 70s wasn't the most welcoming of places. An umbrella across the shins for the wingers by the elderly ladies was common. Fierce rivalry and no cameras. This was under 18 level. Lol

Off topic a little. I was in Salford on a Sunday last year. Fancied going to watch a game. Tried to find out how to get there. A nightmare for parking, no info on bus routes or train. The locals didn't have a clue.. They certainly don't make it easy. Watched on TV, they got beat.

Do the clubs not have to video games for disciplinary matters anyway. Albeit without commentary.

Really enjoyed the way we played today. Less structured, giving the players freedom to express. So much easier on the eye than the 6 and kick borefest we played under Bennett. Whether we can win at the highest levels is another matter but if we could playing the old fashioned British way, it would make the victory even more pleasant.

Fantastic game and the best commentary I've heard all year. No meandering off into personal anecdotes, just concentrating on the magnificent play and players.

Superb, competitive and skilful game spoiled by trash commentary. Wilkin again fixating on one particular player and rubbishing his career and Pyke chatting nonsensically whilst there is some wonderful play going on in front of him. The worst of Sky.

It is not a new thing. I worked in the bars of Lloret/Calella in the 80s and the British were always the worst trouble makers. Luckily in those days you could do something about it.
