Summer/Winter debate

Recommended Posts

Queensbury have gone from running 3 winter teams 18 months ago to struggling to get a first team out over last couple of weeks, since the switch to summer rugby.

This is a team that is plays in one of highest and coldest places in the winter.

Playing numbers have dropped dramatically since the switch to summer.

Donny Toll Bar went from 2 teams U18's to folding, they're having a meeting this week and I believe trying to get back into the Pennine for this season, if they manage it we'll lose 4 or 5 squad players but I do hope they get the nod.

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

In the amateur game I'd say winter due to children and open age players going on holidays in summer. Could have some casual leagues in summer.
