Raider94
Breaking News has arrived Barrow Raiders are very pleased to announce the signing of Gareth Hock, another massive coup for the club. Gareth, it is fair to say, has had his share of problems but after conducting extensive interviews with the player both the coaching staff and the board are satisfied that those issues are in the past. Barrow fought off bids from three Super League clubs that had offers on the table but it was Gareth's desire to go to a club going places whilst retaining his employment for future years. Hock's CV is littered with achievement; International caps, Super League's Young Player of the Year and a Grand Final appearance. Barrow knew they were light in the front row and, at times last season, light with aggression and Gareth will solve both those issues. He has promised to be an influential figure in the dressing room and help fire our boys to victories. We believe this is another step in the right direction and a statement of our intent. Barrow Raiders are back. Tom Heighton
RAIDERSRUS
Personally think this is a good signing, the team has been lacking some aggression, if he controls it all will be good.

If he could control himself then he wouldn’t be at Barrow. Been a pheonominal talent in his time always said this lad had the winning lottery ticket and tore it up. Hopefully he keeps a lid on it from now on because when he wants he’s amazing to watch

TMF
Then again, he'll have a good staff and support to help him. If he screws up, well, up to him. I can't believe the squad we are assembling. Well done Steve and board.

shawy13
If a Super League club wanted and I mean really wanted him they would have got him. Let’s not forget he’s 35 and has a bit of a reputation. Can’t imagine too many SL clubs taking a huge gamble and offering him big bucks which is potentially a great thing for Barrow. Always loved watching him play he can still rip it up in the championship
TJ
Gareth put in a good stint at Fev last year and apart from getting himself sent off at swinton was generally pk discipline wise. Was very unfit when 1st arrived but never gave less than 100% ans should be a great signing for you if repeating.
