The Phantom Horseman
Has signed for us on loan. https://www.featherstonerovers.co.uk/news/albert-signs-on-loan-r2cNJ Bit of a curious one perhaps as he has already been playing for us on DR, but it presumably means he will be training with us more regularly and might mean we are having an extended look at him with a view to next season - he joined Leeds for 2019 but doesn't really seem part of their plans this year. So far I'd say he's been very good going forward but defence a bit iffy at times.
sentoffagain2
On what he has shown so far Wellington is well worth his place in the 17 selected. His defence was a bit weak on a couple of occasions against Leigh but i like the way he goes forward straight and hard, at the moment he will probably improve more playing weekly with us than looking on at Leeds. Fev1983
More intent from the club, the new squad builder is obviously working very well, well done to everyone that has signed up, I will sign up as soon as I have some spare cash.
fevnut
He hadn't played enough games on DR to qualify him to play for us after the signing deadline so loan was the only option.

Has Sutcliffe played enough games to qualify? I think he's injured at present but it would be good to see him available if he gets fit.

I'm not sure that's correct, at least according to this: https://www.rugby-league.com/article/55124/signings-and-registration-deadlines-update The cut-off for dual registration will follow on Monday August 12. After that point, players will only be eligible to move between two clubs if they have already made four appearances on dual registration. If not, they would be able to play either for their parent club, or to move on loan for the rest of the season to their dual-registration club – but not both. Albert has already played four times for us, albeit one was in the 1895 Cup (think that still counts but not 100% sure).

The Phantom Horseman
The Dewsbury squad announcement might hold a clue as to why Albert has joined us on loan. With Reynolds returning to Wakefield, we have 4 DR players in the squad (Golding, Briscoe, Sutcliffe and McLelland) and although you can have 5 loans/DR combined in the squad, you can't have more than 4 DR (ie it has to be 4 DR and 1 loan). But it might well be the other reasons listed at the top.
