Well the queue is long at the stadium from the reception across to the road. Salford will have no issue selling their allocation

Yup, not sure why people are so concerned. Didnt you get 10k for the last game at the Willows a short while back?

There will be support around the city and then when you add in their friends and family, it really shouldn't be an issue.

That's great to hear. Salford so seem to have quite a large latent fanbase. Hopefully a little success can persuade them so start watching again on a weekly basis.

In previous years gone by a significant number of a clubs fans (any club's) would go to Wembley even if not regular fans. Local patriotism... novelty.

There is less novelty now though. Cups and Grand Finals have been commandeered by the larger clubs (bringing the top 12 in later does not help in the Cup).

However in this case, with Salford, the locals, not just more avid fans, will have been encouraged to go.  And it's not as if they willhave to go far!!

Over 5,000 sold at the stadium today, many more on line

I tried the phone line. Busy, busy, busy, "the office is now closed, please try again tomorrow." After a suggestion on deviltalk, I managed to book online, but only after a brief scare. The website (run by ticketmaster, I think) asked for my address. Country - Greece OK. First line - Agios Dimitrios - OK. Postcode -74100 - "wrong format". I tried again - same result. Finally, I used my stepdaughter's postcode in Scarborough - success! So ticketmaster now have me with an address in Greece and a postcode in Scarborough. I've got my ticket, so I don't care. I'm collecting it from the stadium on Saturday, btw.

Glad you are sorted Tony, My lovely hubby queued for our tickets this morning for a couple of hours.

Still not sure it has sunk in.
