Problem these days are the 'real' derbys are played far too often. Playing the Rams now has no real significance when there's a minimum 4 games per season, the Bash game should be against someone else!

Agreed. Sad to say the Heavy Woollen Derby attracts very little interest nowadays as it is no longer special, and even the Christmas "friendly" dilutes it. Personally I would rather we played no more than twice a year, notwithstanding being drawn together in cup games.

If the season started early December and finished August 

the Boxing Day game would be a league game
