Well I don't disagree when it is said he is the greatest player of all time because quite frankly some of the stuff he does on a snooker table is mind blowing but what has to be remembered is the current era of snooker is probably the most competitive ever when you take into account the amount of different players that make the final let alone the amount of different winners. Every decade up to the 2000s has had one player dominate but that isn't the case anymore. To win 6 championships in this era is remarkable.

UK Seniors Championship is on the BBC Red Button.

Apparently Jimmy White beat Joe Johnson today.

Bah Humbug but good luck Jimmy.

The World Seniors is actually something Jimmy can win, he's the only player to win it twice and is the defending champion so he's got a good chance! 👍

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Great comeback from Jimmy. 4-0 down at one stage. I didn't watch all of it but I saw the first three frames and then the last couple. Massive turnaround in fortunes for the two players. Early on Jimmy was poor, but by the end Doherty had completely gone.

Great to see Aaron Hill making progress in the European Masters, beating Ronnie in the second round. Only 18 years old, only turned professional this year, it's fantastic to see another Irish player coming through, hasn't been one with any success particularly since Ken Doherty was winning tournaments.

Shud do the polls like other week but about sports stars not wine.

Nothing stopping you MM, I'd be up for that! Who would your top 5 snooker players be?

Mine would probably be:

1. Ronnie O'Sullivan

2. Stephen Hendry

3. Steve Davis

4. Ray Reardon

5. John Higgins
