As far as I know, there are positions for seven directors at the club. During the past decade, there's rarely been more than a couple at any given time.

I thought directors are supposed to be voted in by shareholders rather than appointed?

think the club can appoint directors to fill up the  vacant places and shareholders vote when there's more than after  the same position

They are Mark, I believe it should be 4 appointed by an "A" share holding vote and 3 appointed by "B" share holders IIRC, but there has not been an votes for a number of years now (I'm not passing judgement on that being a good thing or a bad thing).

According to Companies House there are 5 active committee members (is it still a committee?), these are:

GALE, Anthony                  - Secretary, Appointed on 10 January 2011

CAMPBELL, Mark              - Director, Appointed on 27 September 2007

CLOUGH, Steven              - Director, Appointed on 10 November 2020

CORRAN, Colm                  - Director, Appointed on 15 June 2018

LUMB, Anthony                - Director, Appointed on 23 March 2012

I'm sure I'll think of something funny to say soon.

Thanks. I suppose you'd call it a BOard of Directors?

So Tony Gale is secretary, and Mark Campbell and Tony Lumb have been on the board for a number of years.

Colm Corran is the name of someone who owns a charge on the club's land, presumably in exchange for a loan??

Plus the new guy. I assume MC is an A director, and the other three are B.

TBH I can't remember the last time there was a shareholders vote to elect any board member so no idea who's an A or B director.

CC has a reasonable sized loan owed to him. The amount outstanding may be indicated in the next set of accounts which should be out at the end of this month - I was checking the due date when I spotted the new appointment.

Off topic, but does anyone know how the work to develop the land is going? Wasn't that the purpose orlf the loan? Accepted Covid had got in the way, and these things are slow going at the best of times, but it would be good to have an update.

It's all depends on the outcome of the 'Local Plan 2036' currently in the consultation (on the Publication Draft Plan) phase which runs for six weeks from Thursday 29 October 2020 until 5pm Wednesday 9 December 2020. The application to have the land removed from Green Belt status appears to be included:

LP1419: Land adjacent Featherstone Rovers, Featherstone (New) Land removed from Green Belt

Cheers. As I'm not so local, I don't get to pick these things up so quickly, and if I'm honest, it's easier to ask on here than spend an age hunting for things.

Anyone can be appointed but the appointment must be ratified at the first AGM by a shareholders vote. As the club have not held a true AGM where voting for nominees and re- electing of Chairman and directors whose tenure of office ended over two years ago then I conclude that we don't currently have a working board of directors.

Colin,

As an Associate Director from 2013 after investing a five figure sum, buying medical tables, numerous loans for continuing work on the new stands, New PA system, staving off HMRC, being able to pay players wages when we didn't have enough finances and sponsoring the foundation.

In my experience of the way i have been treated and the disrespectful comments and threats that i have had to stomach during the last seven years I would say that you are fortunate that your offers have not been called on.

Not good to hear. How were you treated?
