Impressive.

It's The Voice.

“Jamaica being in RLWC2021 is a time for celebration and also inspiration. The tournament is about ‘The Power of Together’ and is committed to be a powerful force for good, including the fight against racism and discrimination. The sport of Rugby League has a history of breaking down barriers, including Clive Sullivan being Great Britain’s first black sports team captain in 1972. Our partnership is about working together to continue to create change on pitches, clubhouses, terraces, boardrooms, media and communities.”

Had an initial unsettling image of Tom Jones and Will.i.am leading a sing-a-long at the St James' Park opener.

Thankfully it's not that - excellent move by RLWC2021.

On the back of this, The Voice has just hired it's first rugby league correspondent.

I hope this might help encourage more black players to play TGG.

A clever move considering this years race issues.

A clever move considering Jamaica are in their first World Cup too, maybe a rugby league cool runnings type film will follow. I don’t know what number of physical publications they sell but they’ve got 42k Twitter followers which is more than some Super League clubs and more than New Zealand Rugby League’s page.
