There was in black and white.

Jeez - you've still only got black and white tv in Kirklees ?😲

I'd dispute that anyway.  Plenty of difference between light and dark blue.  Just watch the Boat Race.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

One day cricket is interesting ... test cricket all in whites , but with coloured clothing you’d think there should be a distinguishing factor but you’ll see games where teams are basically wearing the same kit . Yellow tops and blue pants springs to mind

India at the last Cricket WC wore a change kit for one game apparently for a colour clash although the cynic in me thought it was a marketing thing

I watched the game on TV and honestly there was no colour clash problem

There isn’t a kit clash - As others have posted the Leeds v Wigan one was more of a clash

OK. And how is that "interesting"?

Go back to shirt and alterative shirt.

You can wear whichever you want but the alternative has to be designed to avoid kit clashes.

I don’t see why the RFL can’t use a dark vs light rule, surely that’s simple enough? Think that’s the model they have in NFL. It is daft when two sides play in all dark kits against each other, even if colour is slightly different - guess Wigan/Leeds came down to that issue. If home team has hoops, so not quite that simple, then away side needs contrasting shorts and socks

How hard can it be? Simple sign-off process required with the league when fixtures announced, it’s an hours work at most 🙄
