3 SL Clubs Fined for Covid Breaches

Looking at what has gone on previously is how you can interpret how the rules will be applied though.

Wasnt there a colossal furore last year when Leeds bailed on going to Catalan just before lockdown?

No rules in place then but mitigating circumstances accounted for and no charge levelled at Leeds (rightly so imo)

Why not mitigation taken into account here? For the reasons already noted.

It seems, from here, that there has been a huge disparity on how the rules have been applied or how some clubs are treated.

As you say rules were not in place last year, now they are and clubs need to adhere to them

Hey what matters is that cheats are punished and Cas haven't been.

Maybe they will be, maybe they won't.  But we won't know until the end of the regular season.

Maybe they'll finish outside the play-offs and it'll make no odds anyway.

Who knows ?

What I mean is, there were no rules for skipping a game because of covid

If we apply the same measure, Leeds should have been fined and forfeited the game

So what you're saying is you do think there should have been a special ruling just for Huddersfield?

And you think that not having such a ruling is the thing which beggars belief?

No, I'm saying either the game wants to be serious about player welfare or it doesn't.

It's nothing to do with Huddersfield having special rulings, it's about fining a club, any club, for refusing to play 10 academy players in a super league match 2 days after their U19s game.
