maybe the plan has been to hit prime time in Australia.

It’s not prime time, but I bet Channel 4 get considerably more viewers than Sky Sports

Over here in Australia there is usually a Premier League game or Championship game kicking off between 9pm or 11pm -depending upon the time of year - on a Saturday night.  So there must be lunchtime kick-offs in the UK.

In the UK there will be a Premier League game on I believe but not on free to air tv, it’ll be on pay tv sports channel only.

Usually a Premier League game on BT Sport and a Championship game on Sky Sports.
